Rachel Pinevska

Rachel Pinevska brings her wealth of performing experience from across the globe to Antipodes Opera, along with her passion for storytelling through music. Praised for her “sparkling, nuanced” singing (Cut-Common magazine) and “leuchtender Sopranstimme” (Tagesspiegel) her operatic repertoire includes Königin der Nacht/Die Zauberflöte (Prager Festspiel Oper, Brisbane City Opera, Australian Contemporary Opera Co, Opera Australia Schools Tours), Zerbinetta/Ariadne auf Naxos (Ensemble Q), Tytania/A midsummer night’s dream (Miami Music Festival) Eurydice/Orphée et Eurydice (Sinfonieorchester Collegium Musicum Potsdam), Frasquita/Carmen (Queensland Symphony Orchestra) and Dafne/Apollo e Dafne (Brisbane City Opera). At the Deutsche Oper Berlin Rachel has sung Prima Cercatrice/Suor Angelica and is preparing the role of Koloratur-Eva in the upcoming German premiere of Mittwoch aus Licht.

In concert Rachel Pinevska recently appeared as the soprano soloist in Carmina Burana, performing in the Philharmonie Berlin, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Die Glocke Bremen, and the NDR Konzerthaus Hannover. She has performed as a featured soloist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and her concert repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah (Queensland Baroque Orchestra), Haydn’s Paukenmesse and Theresienmesse, Monteverdi’s Vespers, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat, Mozart’s Exsultate, jubilate, and numerous Bach cantatas, as well as Ravel’s Chansons madécasses (Taimana Ensemble) and Beethoven’s concert aria "Ah! Perfido” (Cadenza Chamber Players). As a recitalist, Rachel curates semi-staged performances telling timeless stories of love and loss. Her solo song performance All Souls Night was presented at the Omnibus Theatre in London, U.K. in 2023.

Rachel is a trained Pilates instructor and is currently working towards a Diploma of Counseling. Focusing on the mind/body connection so important for performers, Rachel offers workshops in Pilates for Singers as well as Positive Mindset Strategies. She holds a Masters of Music Studies in Voice Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, and a Diploma in Chamber Music from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Rebecca MacCallion

Rebecca MacCallion is an Australian-born soprano based in Berlin, Germany. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from the Australian National University in Canberra, where she developed a strong foundation in operatic and concert performance. During her undergraduate studies, Rebecca made notable operatic appearances as Musetta in La Bohème and as the Shepherd Boy in Tosca with Melbourne Opera. She was awarded the Australia Britain Society Voice Award, which enabled her to travel to Europe for advanced study with leading vocal coaches and répétiteurs, and, together with duo partner Bradley Kunda, was invited as a guest artist to Proyecto Canciones in Granada, Spain.

Following her music degree, Rebecca completed a Master of Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Sydney, while continuing to perform in leading musical theatre productions, including Cinderella in Into the Woods, Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera, and Maria in West Side Story. She then joined Pacific Opera as a Young Artist for two years, appearing as a featured soprano soloist in Candide with the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, performing Jenny in Down in the Valley, and appearing as La Suora Infermiera in Puccini's Suor Angelica, alongside regular soloist appearances with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra under Dr Nicholas Milton AM.

Since relocating to Germany, Rebecca has performed Zerlina in Mozart's Don Giovanni, stepped in at short notice as a featured soprano soloist in a production directed by Andrea Breth at the Berliner Ensemble, and travelled to the Netherlands for an international opera film project.

Alongside her work as a freelance soprano, Rebecca is a specialist Speech and Language Pathologist, vocal coach, international researcher, and presenter, internationally recognised for her expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Deeply passionate about the relationship between voice, communication, and performance, she brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to her portfolio career.

Bronwyn Douglass

Australian soprano Bronwyn Douglass has been praised for her "rich, warm tone" and "quietly radiant presence" by Limelight Magazine, who named her both a "Rising Star" and one of the "Next Generation" of Australian opera singers.

Equally at home on the operatic stage or concert platform, Bronwyn performed for Opera Australia from 2020 to 2025 as both a soloist and ensemble singer. Notable roles include Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni (2023), described as a "focused and fiery" Elvira with "dramatic timbre," Sieglinde (cover) in Die Walküre (2023), and Anna Kennedy in Maria Stuarda (2022). In concert at the Millthorpe Opera Festival (2025), she was hailed by La Vie Magazine as a "true Wagnerian soprano," her voice "perfectly balanced, with a rich timbre." And in her performance of the soprano solo in Ethel Smyth's Mass in D with the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall (2024), Peter McCallum of the Sydney Morning Herald wrote that "Bronwyn Douglass' high notes shone like light through mist."

Bronwyn is the recipient of some of Australia's most prestigious vocal awards, including The Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge Bel Canto Award and The Opera Foundation Lady Fairfax New York Scholarship. Her more recent distinctions include the Premio Maggiore Interpretazione at the Concorso Lirico Cloe Elmo and winner of the Elisabeth Murdoch Award at the Herald Sun Aria (2024). She holds a Bachelor of Music from the Australian National University School of Music and a Master of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.

After welcoming a daughter in 2025 and relocating to Germany, Bronwyn is enjoying settling into her new musical home in Berlin. She continues her private vocal studies thanks to the Johnson Bequest Scholarship, and was recently invited to the Leipzig Wagner-Festwoche to work in masterclass with KS Linda Watson. Passionate about sharing her experience with the next generation of opera singers, she has recently opened her own singing studio, where she teaches, mentors, and encourages emerging artists to find their own path to success.
